Mexico Advances MXN 10.64 Trillion Federal Spending Proposal for 2027

On 5 November, Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies Budget Committee approved the federal expenditure proposal for 2027 with 33 votes in favour and 12 against. The proposal includes more than MXN 1 trillion for social programmes and approximately MXN 3.05 trillion in federal transfers to states and municipalities. The proposal still requires further legislative discussion and final approval. HPC can support public-sector research, budget analysis and policy evaluation.
